It would be nice to be able to choose between K&R and BSD brace styles, instead of being limited to K&R.

The next version will include a Multipurpose filter, to allow use of different braces styles, like GNU, BSD or Whitesmiths (a little hard to implement).
If you use the PEAR filter, you obtain BSD style for braces.

in the latest released version of the package, which you can download at
http://pear.php.net/get/PHP_Beautifier
