Hi!
Just found out that the sheetname may not exceed 31 characters otherwise you do not get an object back from:
$worksheet =& $this->addWorksheet($this->sheetname);
I think this should go into documentation - drove me crazy ...

You should take a look at this:

This problem ought to be addressed, but it appears that this class is not in active development.

This bug has been fixed in CVS.
If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET).
If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly.
Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release.
Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
I just removed the 31 chars restriction when working with BIFF8 (setVersion(8)). Also updated the docs so it says addWorksheet() may return a PEAR_Error for the time being.
