services_google and services_amazon currently don't allow proxy support. This could be overcome by the future default output handlers, but not in current php version. adding proxy support for php <= 5.0.1 would be highly appreciated.

This is something that should be implemented at the SOAP client level, rather than reimplementing it for every package.
