Description:
------------
It looks like password protected .pdf files cause a download error.
Expected result:
----------------
Successfull download.
Actual result:
--------------
After the document downloads and Acrobat attempts to open the file, the doc does not open and an error message appears: "There was an error opening this document. This file is damaged and could not be repaired."

Okay, the password protection problem was a mistaken assumption on my part. I decrypted and removed all protections from the file I was having problems with, saved it on the server, downloaded it, and it still didn't work. I could download the document effectively by directly linking to the file on the server, but for some reason the PEAR Download class was having problems with it. Then I saved the document in the "compatible with Acrobat 4" format. This worked. So, while I'm not sure what the problem was exactly, it might be useful to note for future reference (in case something like this comes up again) that the document was a newer, Acrobat 6 pdf file produced by converting a nicely formatted word document to the pdf format, and then every protection imaginable was applied (people are so paranoid).
