Any chance of this coming fruition. I would be more than happy to submit my diffs. I am urrently working on a procjet using DB_DataObject and DB_DataObject_FormBuilder and have a not so well (as of yet) constructed table nesting, waiting to see if I can find something more useful (ie DB_NestedSet).

I have missed this bug. Sorry for the delay.
No I don't plan to implement this feature in future as it will only add another layer of abstraction and a source for confusion and I am in a process of simplyfying.
If I implement DB_DataObject I also need to do the MDB pendant, etc.
