There appears to be an error in the _writeAndControl module, on line 792. Line 791 is testing whether $dataRead is an object, but then returning $result and exclaiming that we are returning the PEAR_Error object. If I'm not mistaken, it should be returning the just tested $dataRead object...

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on pear.php.net by the end of next Sunday (CET).

If this was a problem with the pear.php.net website, the change should be live shortly.

Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release.
