The method ping was not working on sunos, I'm using Solaris 7 with Apache 2.0 and PHP 5.2.0.
While I was testing another configuration, a friend was writing this new method for the Net_Ping class and now I have Net_Ping working in Solaris 7.
I don't want to report a bug, I want to send you the method writted.
